Join us for a beginner-friendly Nerikomi Workshop! In this 2.5 hour class, you’ll learn the art of Nerikomi, a slab building technique where different clays are combined to create beautiful, layered patterns. You’ll start with a slab, build your designs, and create anything from a small tray to a set of coasters.
We’ll kick things off with a demo of the Nerikomi process, then move into hands-on building so you can bring your ideas to life. All materials will be provided.
You can make things like:
Small trays
Coasters
Small bowls
Charms
and more
For this workshop, we’re focusing on the technique itself. Underglaze painting and colored glazes will not be offered. You’ll have the option of a clear glaze or no glaze, since the patterns really speak for themselves.
Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 6 to 8 weeks. All work will be food safe and dishwasher safe.
This class will take place Thursday, May 7th at 6pm - 8:30pm. Please arrive about 10 minutes early to get settled before we begin. Space is limited to 14 participants, so reserve your spot and come ready to create.
