Join us for a beginner friendly Sgraffito Workshop! In this 2-hour class, you will be given a handmade, wheel thrown cup, made here at the studio, to decorate and carve.
Sgraffito is the process of painting underglaze onto clay and then using a carving tool to carve away images, designs and patterns onto the surface- To create a totally unique, bespoke piece of pottery!
Whether you're completely new to ceramics or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop is a unique opportunity to connect with clay.
We’ll start with a brief 15-20 minute demo of Sgraffito techniques and decoration ideas and then you will have the rest of the workshop to carve! All materials, underglaze, and a variety of tools will be provided.
Your finished work will be ready for pickup in approximately 6-8 weeks. All pieces will be completely food safe and dishwasher safe.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled before we begin. Space is limited to 18 participants—reserve your spot now and come ready to create!
